IGE Solutions, Inc., Expands Headquarters into New Facility
IGE Solutions Inc., headquartered in Jupiter, Fla., has relocated to a new, state-of-the-art facility that will allow for continued growth, as well as capabilities to meet new opportunities.
This new, much larger office is just a few blocks away from the previous location, but will accommodate IGE Solution’s growing staff and expanded product line better and will also improve communication and workflow, according to the company’s announcement.
The facility includes a larger warehouse for additional parts and supplies inventory, as well as for stocking machines for immediate delivery. In addition, the facility features an education and training center for various types of customer training including software, maintenance, machine programming and more.
“We are extremely excited about this move and what it means to our customers and our manufacturers,” said Michael Spellman, founder and president. “Our ability to meet the needs of both of those audiences is greatly enhanced with this new facility. This will allow our growth and success to continue for many years in the future.”
IGE Solutions is the exclusive North American distributor for several major product lines of heavy capital equipment used in the fabrication of flat glass and stone slabs (granite and marble). The company also supports this equipment by offering technical assistance, service and a large stock of readily available tooling, spare parts and supplies.
CRL Opens Las Vegas Branch Distribution Facility
C.R. Laurence Co. Inc. (CRL) has announced the opening of its newest branch distribution facility in Las Vegas, which will serve customers in Nevada and Utah.
The new branch operates out of a 40,000-square-foot facility and features a “Will Call” department and a major product display area.
“This branch is a real showcase, with one of our most outstanding Will Call departments, where customers have immediate access to our full line of more than 30,000 products,” said Donald E. Friese, president and chief executive officer. “A product display area in the lobby allows customers to experience first hand some of CRL’s newest architectural hardware products, shower door hardware, railing systems and transaction hardware. This facility also utilizes state-of-the-art shipping equipment and the newest computer systems for quick UPS delivery to our customers. The management, Will Call, shipping and warehouse staff include some of our most experienced and talented employees.”
Doug Monroe serves as the Las Vegas facility branch manager. He has more than 14 years of experience with CRL, and most recently served as key accounts manager for Arizona and Salt Lake City. He has also served as a branch manager and an outside salesperson.
DFI Reaches Alliance with Oben
Diamon-Fusion International Inc. (DFI) of San Clemente, Calif., has reached a strategic alliance agreement with glass shower manufacturer Oben® USA Inc. of Hayward, Calif. Oben has selected DFI’s surface protective nanocoating Diamon-Fusion® as a standard feature for its Glide Glass™ products.
According to a company news release, DFI’s nanocoating offers a full range of enhanced hydrophobic properties to treated glass surfaces, and features characteristics such as: water and oil repellency, impact and scratch resistance, finger print protection, UV stability and increased brilliance and lubricity.
“Oben provides a new avenue in our marketing for the U.S. market,” stated Guillermo Seta, vice president and executive director of DFI Global Operations. “They bring more than 80 years of design expertise and a very innovative product. Our co-branding with Oben sets the tone for a new era of functional shower door designs.”
AFG Industries Announces Addition of Autoclave to Jacksonville Plant
AFG Industries president John Litzinger has announced that a new autoclave will be added to its Jacksonville, Miss., plant in the first quarter of 2006.
“The new laminating capability is designed to support our strong and growing residential customer base in the Southeast,” said Litzinger.
He also said that the company added a tempering line recently to its existing insulating operations in Jacksonville, Miss., which has been an asset to AFG’s residential customers with its custom tempered, Comfort Ti solution.
“The addition of residential quality, hurricane laminated products including laminated Comfort Ti, will go a long way to expanding our residential strategy in the Southeast,” said Litzinger.
