Vistawall Architectural Products of Terrell, Texas, is making its mark on the sports industry as it just completed work on the $450 million American Airlines Center in Dallas and the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

General contractor, Austin Commercial and glazing contractor Jennings Glass, selected Vistawall to supply the curtainwall and entrances for the American Airlines Center, which is home to the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars professional teams.

Vistawall provided its ZG-2000 pressure-glazed system, which is captured and butt-glazed. Vistawall adds that its Rugged Entrance system™, ideal for high-traffic areas due to its durability, was used for the center’s entrance.

Vistawall was also chosen to provide the curtainwall and entrances for the Gillette Stadium, home to the New England Patriots. This time, Vistawall was chosen by Boston’s general contractor Beacon/Barton Marlow and glazing contractor Karas and Karas. The facility was designed by HOK Sports Facilities Group.

Vistawall supplied its CW-250 screw spline system, along with Rugged medium stile doors. The curtainwall featured a 7 ¼- inch depth and incorporated structured silicone glazing, and captured, with various-depth horizontal face caps, according to the company.
