New Product Focus
Sun-Guard Laminated Glass

Guardian Industries has introduced a laminated version of its Sun-Guard SN-68 high-performance low-E glass.SN-68 laminated, which has a clear, neutral appearance, has high light transmission and solar control combined with the protection provided by lamination. Guardian says it passes hurricane small and large missile tests.

“Sun-Guard SN-68 now can provide dollar-saving solar control and be laminated for hurricane-rated performance,” says Chris Dolan, Guardian’s director of commercial glass products. “Not only will it drive energy costs down, but also will deliver all the benefits of laminated technology including sound attenuation, safety, security and hurricane protection.”

With the surge of volatile weather around the globe, especially in the coastal regions of the United States, Dolan points out that this type of product provides a perfect solution for architects and builders. “By providing many performance and appearance options, our customers will have the ability to choose exactly what’s right for their projects,” he says.

Guardian’s SN-68 is available through the Sun-Guard Certified Fabricator network, 10 fabricators around the country that are certified to laminate the glass.
