Coming in Handy  
Glass manufacturer sedak released a new qual-  
ity handbook defining the manufacturing toler-  
ances for the visual assessment of its products.  
Aside from standards, regulations and data  
sheets mentioned in the handbook, order-specific  
tolerances are provided based on sedak’s current  
technical production capabilities. It give designers  
a concrete guideline with technical data such as  
dimensions, flatness, edge seal and visual char-  
acteristics. The handbook includes specifications  
for sedak’s entire product range, from basic glass  
to insulating.

Course Title: The Principles of Glass Selection for Facades

This course introduces the various glass options for commercial building  
facades. It will explore the aesthetic and performance differences in low-E coatings  
and explain how to customize glass through color, textures and patterns.  
By the end, they should be able to differentiate between types of safety glass,  
including traditional tempered and laminated glass, and appraise their uses based  
upon application.
