GED GED of Twinsburg, Ohio, has introduced a new, stainless steel horizontal washer design—a design so unique it is being patented, according to the company.

Currently available in 60-inch and 84-inch models, this new washer offers superior glass cleaning, low-E glass compatibility, efficient operation and water usage and an easy-to-maintain design.

Amerimax Introduces Insulation Kit for Windows
AMERIMAX Amerimax Laminated Products Inc. of Elkhart, Ind., has introduced the MAXX-Bay TK insulation kit.

This kit can be attached to the bay/bow window either before or after installation to increase the R-value of the head and seatboards. 

It is available in standard panel sizes of four by six, four by eight and four by 12 and in thicknesses ranging from ¾- to 3 inches.

Continued Innovation with Retro Jamb Extension
One of the challenges of meeting window renewal is to find components that are also easily adaptable. Duxton Windows & Doors of Winnipeg, Manitoba, says it has found a cellular PVC jamb extension that has infinite variations from approximately 4 inches to 8 inches. 

New Sealant Developed for Window and Door Installations
GE Sealants & Adhesives’s new Siding-Seal product offers a sealant solution for exterior siding and window and door projects. The sealant solution’s patented formula is designed to stand up to the challenging conditions that building exteriors face due to the environment, weather and aging. According to the company, Siding-Seal combines toughness, adhesion and flexibility with paintability to give a truly low maintenance seal for joints and gaps in siding.

High-Strength Adhesive is Designed for Bonding Thin Materials
Devcon Metal Welder™ by Devcon of Danvers, Mass., is a structural methacrylate adhesive designed specifically for bonding metal to other metals or to dissimilar substrates. Designed for metals such as aluminum, cold-rolled steel, stainless steel and copper, the company says the adhesive produces durable bonds with superior impact and peal resistance on bare, painted, plated or galvanized metals.

Adhesive System Boasts Faster Curing Time
Powers Fasteners Inc. of New Rochelle, N.Y., introduced its AC 100 Plus and AC 5.5 Plus adhesives recently. The adhesives utilize a new epoxy acrylate formula that is stronger, safer, has a fast curing time and is odor-free, said the company. According to the company, the all-weather adhesives can be used in conditions as cold as 0° Fahrenheit or as hot as 104° Fahrenheit, allowing designers to specify the product with confidence.

CNC Wood Router Can Be Used on Many Materials
Techno-Isel of New Hyde Park, N.Y., offers the Techno model 21-PC-driven CNC wood router. This machine is designed for the production routing and drilling on a wide variety of materials including wood, plastic, multi-density fiberboard, solid-surfacing materials and nonferrous metals.

The machine is constructed on steel stress-relieved bases with hardened steel linear ways. According to the company, the machine’s shafts-and-bearing system produces very smooth, play-free motion and is an extremely rigid system that produces high-quality cuts.

Maxym Technologies Introduces Combination Mortiser/Tenoner
MAXYM Maxym Technologies of Biddeford, Maine, has introduced a combination mortise/tenoner machine. 

The company says it has combined its easy-to-use CNC touch-screen technology with extended 3-inch mortise and tenon capabilities to appeal to manufacturers of custom entry doors. Maxym adds that the machine’s accuracy and quick set-up will provide unlimited versatility.

WEGOMA Adds Sealant Application Table to Product Line
WEGOMA WEGOMA of Twinsburg, Ohio, has added the Precision Sealant Application Table to its product line. This new product features an automatic table for the application of a hot or cold sealant to the glazing area, plus it’s available as a manually loaded table or with powered in- and out-feed conveyors for automated operation. Operation software to go with this product is developed by WEGOMA Controls Engineering Group.

UCB Chemicals Corp. offers its new family of Uvekol® products. This ultraviolet laminate has established itself with 20 years of performance in the European market and is now being produced in the United States, utilizing the same stringent standards for quality, strength and consistency, according to the company. 

G-U Debuts New Hinge
HINGEPHOTO2 G-U Hardware Inc. of Newport News, Va., has announced the addition of the adjustable butt hinge to its line of durable, high-quality door and window hardware, said the company.

Features include three-way adjustability with an allen wrench, in- and out-swinging versatility and easy separation of sash and frame.
