David M. KruseLauren Names Kruse President
Lauren Windows of Cambridge, Ohio, has named David M. Kruse as president of the company. Prior to joining Lauren Windows, Kruse held a variety of sales, marketing and management positions in the window industry, including 11 ˝ years with the Pella Corp. in Pella, Iowa. Most recently, he served as president of American Weatherseal in Orrville, Ohio.

WDMA Elects New Officers
The Window and Door Manufacturers Association has elected Jerry Mannigel as its 2003 chairperson. Mannigel is president of Marshfield DoorSystems in Marshfield, Wis. He served last year on the board of directors. 

Other officers include Chris Simpson, vice president, marketing and sales of Pella Corp., who has been re-elected as vice chairperson. Jerry Oleshansky, vice president, sales and marketing of Therma-Tru, was elected as vice chairperson. Linda Semling, vice president and general manager of Semling-Menke Co., was re-elected as treasurer.

New directors elected to the board are Charles Loewen, chief executive officer for Loewen in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada, and Jim Gulliford, president, engineered products, for the Quanex Corp. in Chatsworsth, Ill.

Randy Wadley has joined Besten Inc. of Cleveland as the company’s new national accounts director. His responsibilities will include planning and executing Besten sales functions … Bill Roberts Sales Inc., a manufacturer’s representative agency in Dallas, recently promoted Mitchell L. Morris to vice president of sales.
