Coating Simulates Appearance of Wood
Naturall, now available in the U.S. through Techline America, simulates the appearance of wood fibers, granite and marble, as well as custom selections, on aluminum frames.
The coating system applies two consecutive layers of polyester powders on the aluminum for a layer a minimum of 60 microns thick. The polymerization of the two layers creates the appearance of wood. The system can coat profiles up to 7 meters long and sheets up to 4 by 1.25 meters. According to the company, the specially formulated polyester powders provide durability, quality and resistance to weathering conditions and outdoor UV exposure. Naturall also offers high shock- and abrasion-resistance, according to the company.
Texture selections range from smooth surfaces to a more wrinkled or matte finish. Different patterns and colors are available to reproduce the popular wood effect.
