NEW HIRES McNair Joins Truth Team Owatonna, Minn.-based Truth Hardware has named Scott McNair as its new sales director for the Canadian Provinces. With more than 15 years of experience in the door and window industry, McNair will oversee the efforts of Truth’s sales team across Canada and will manage the Ontario market directly. Mike Fruzzetti Joins Mercer Windows Fruzzetti comes to Mercer Windows from the energy-efficiency field, and has worked on window-related efficiency projects such as the Commercial Windows Initiative and Energy Star®. He will oversee the company’s marketing and promotions department. WCSI Adds Two to Sales Staff Kohlman will represent all product lines in the Rocky Mountain region, consisting of Colorado, southern Wyoming, New Mexico and El Paso, Texas. Kohlman brings more than ten years custom home-building experience to the position and will be based in Denver. Churchill will be based in Phoenix and will be responsible for all sales and support for the company’s principles in the Southwest region. Churchill, who has been involved in selling products to the residential industry in the past, will cover Arizona, Las Vegas and Utah. Kessler Joins Caldwell as VPCaldwell Manufacturing Co. in Rochester, N.Y., has a new vice president of sales. John Kessler brings more than 25 years experience in sales and marketing within the fenestration industry to the window balance and hardware manufacturer. Reliant Glass & Door Systems Expands with New Hires Renee Sellin is the new manager of purchasing. Sellin will be responsible for establishing supplier relationships, inventory management and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Prior to joining the company, Sellin was the inventory control manager at Phoenix Products. Debra Forsterling was hired as contract administrator. Forsterling is responsible for reviewing requirements of customer contracts for materials, products and services and for invoicing. Nordson Names Burkus Business Development Manager Burkus comes to Nordson Corp. from Momentive Performance Materials, formerly General Electric (GE) Silicones. Len Quist Joins CGI as Director of Marketing Bednarek Joins Winkhaus as Technical Sales Manager “His broad technical knowledge of materials and manufacturing provides an excellent foundation for understanding and developing our customers’ business”, says Jim Roberts, director of sales, to whom Bednarek will report in his new position. Bednarek will be based in Whitewater. PROMOTIONS She also will serve as liaison between the company’s headquarters and the plant management and shipping personnel in Insula-Dome’s Yaphank, N.Y., office in order to facilitate movement of finished product between the two facilities. Additionally, she will continue to provide customer support for key accounts. Shashlo Named Vice President Operations at Simonton Windows® Shashlo, who started with Simonton in mid-June, is responsible for managing and directing the areas of quality, traffic and sourcing along with overseeing the company’s East Coast manufacturing operations. This includes multiple facilities in West Virginia, along with single-plant operations in Oklahoma, Illinois and Georgia. Prior to joining Simonton, Shashlo most recently served as site manager for Ford’s Rouge facility in Dearborn, Mich., which is comprised of four separate plants and employs more than 6,500 people. ASSOCIATIONS “Chuck has 22 years of engineering-related experience, eight of which involve fenestration, and has been a valuable AAMA contributor for many years,” says Rich Walker, AAMA’s president and chief executive officer. “Chuck also is registered as a professional engineer in the state of North Carolina, which will help with his code-related responsibilities in Southeastern states.” Most recently, Anderson served on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Window and Door Association (NWDA) and serves on the Code Development Committee of the International Code Council’s (ICC) International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). In addition, he previously served on the Board of Directors for the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) and AAMA Southeast Region. As AAMA’s codes and industry affairs manager, Anderson fills the position vacated by Ken Brenden, who assumes the role of technical standards manager and now oversees the development and distribution of all AAMA technical documents and standards. APPOINTMENTS Randy Albaugh’s position has changed from the company’s general sales manager to regional sales manager over the Southeastern and Central regions. The company says the new role will enable Albaugh to focus on growth areas within these regions, which includes setting up distribution channels in the Florida market for newly certified products. Additionally, Precision has named Ken Young regional sales manager for the Northeastern region. In this newly created position, Young will work alongside account managers to develop customer relationships in the Northeastern states. Young previously served as the company’s New England account manager. Bob Schlabach has been named to the new position of account manager for southern California and southwest Arizona. Shlabach will relocate from Sugar Creek to the Los Angeles area for his new role. Schlabach previously served as customer service representative and production scheduler. In addition to these moves within the company, Precision has added three to its sales staff. Kirk Dotter, who has seven years in the home improvement industry, will now serve as account manager in Kansas and Oklahoma. Randy Crook, who also has eight years home improvement industry experience, will serve as account manager in Northern Illinois. Wes Ley, who comes to Precision with a background in construction and sales, will now manage accounts in northeast Ohio, northwest Pennsylvania and western New York. BIRTHS briefly Edgetech I.G. Inc. in Cambridge, Ohio, has appointed Ted Hoehn to national sales manager in the western United States, Central, South America and Mexico. In his new role, Hoehn is responsible for maintaining and improving customer relationships in his territory through value-added products and services … MGM Industries in Hendersonville, Tenn., has added two new sales representatives to cover its Midwest and Southern coastal territories. Dan Miller of the Miller Group will cover the Southern coastal region from Texas to Florida, and Jim McCoy of JM Sales and Marketing will cover Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, western Pennsylvania and southern Wisconsin … BFRich Windows & Doors has named David Bulatowicz as territory manager for Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In his new role, he will assume the responsibilities for some existing BFRich customers, as well as the company’s new business development team.
