Delmac Unveils DW 800
The DW 800 horizontal bore, glue and dowel machine is a numerically controlled machine designed to drill, glue and insert dowels in rails for doors. Available from Delmac Machinery Group, the machine is equipped with a specially designed heavy- duty drill that blows compressed air out the end of the drill to clear all dust from the hole. The selection of the working reference (left or right position) is executed by CNC, and the heavy-duty double clamps will hold rails horizontally for edge drilling and doweling. The high-pressure glue injection system ensures a no-drip glue delivery system with electronic precision metering of the glue amount, according to the company. www.delmac.com

Go Pro(-Fab) with Pro-Line
The programmable Pro-Fab CNC 700 is the latest offering from Pro-Line Automation Systems Ltd. in Woodbridge, Ontario. The company says the system contains up to 15 easy-edit programs, a touch screen operator interface, a servo-controlled programmable x-y axis and a pneumatically controlled, multi-position z-axis. Likewise, the system is equipped with two 5-foot support conveyors, an off-center stop system for locating cut-outs, a high-speed routing head with carbide cutting tool and a precision self-centering gauge with machine-tooled linear guide

Machines and Wheels Offers Selim Straight Line Flat Edger
Machines and Wheels Inc. of Greensboro, N.C., has available the Model SE10M Straight Line Flat Edger from Selim, which is a fully automatic edging machine with 10 spindles capable of producing flat and flat with arris profiles. Beginning with two 150-mm cup diamond and one-cup resin wheel, the configuration is followed by two sets of 45-degree arising wheels (a diamond and composite polishing wheel for the front and back arris). The edger features direct-drive spindle motors, an oil slide conveyor system running on tempered guides, a variable-speed, sturdy cast spindle mounts and stainless steel in all wet areas. Solar Innovations in Myerstown, Pa., offers environmental control system upgrades for greenhouses and sunroom products. Its greenhouse control systems can be automated according to the gardener’s specifications. Greenhouse accessories, including fans, vents, misting and fogging systems and heating or cooling systems, are automated in stages corresponding to the gardener’s selection and plants’ needs. INFIN™ Coating Adds New Properties to Composites
Inhance/Fluor-Seal Ltd. and Finishes Unlimited have joined together to develop INFIN coating technology—a new technology designed to coat wood plastic composites in virtually any color while enabling them to resist fading, heat retention, mold, mildew, stains and abrasion, the companies say.

According to the companies, the new technology changes the molecular structure of the surface and then coating it with a patent-pending ultraviolet (UV)-curable coating. During the process, the extruded composite is fed through a second chamber where it is exposed to a reactive gas atmosphere that oxidizes the surface so it will accept the coating. It then is fed immediately through an inline vacuum coating chamber where the coating is applied and instantly cured by UV lamps. The composite can be handled immediately after the coating step. 

Finishes Unlimited, which is based in Sugar Grove, Ill., developed the original UV- curable coating specifically for this application and has applied for a patent. The system to expose the composite to the reactive gas was developed by Inhance/Fluoro-Seal, which is headquartered in Houston.

The companies say the INFIN coating technology process system can coat composites at speeds of up to 200 fpm and can be installed as the final step of a composite production line. They also note that the addition of the process takes very little space in the plant. www.fluoroseal.com

Grand Haven, Mich.-based Iso-Trude Inc. has gone green with the brand-new Green Sweep. Green Sweep, a green sealing solution for exterior doors features multi-fin and bulb construction, which the company says provides a tight seal in any weather condition and protects against moisture, air, dust and various infiltrators. Likewise, Iso-Trude says the Green Sweep is durable and tear- and crack-resistant, is made from recyclable materials and comes in a variety of styles and colors to go with most steel, wood and composite door applications. Heading to Woodbridge
The all-new Woodbridge window line from Newark, Del.-based BFRich is designed for the new construction market and offers the look of a wood window with the low maintenance and energy-efficient characteristics of vinyl, according to the company. The Woodbridge is available in double-hung, with two- and three-lite sliders. The product line also includes picture windows and architectural shapes.

The standard frame of the Woodbridge window has an integral brick mould exterior with a built-in J-channel and nail fin. The window also has an optional 3¼-inch eastern casing and sill nosing that is factory-applied to give the window the look of a traditional wood trimmed exterior.
