Amesbury Adds New Business Unit, Appoints Grayson Sales and Marketing Manager
Amesbury Door Hardware has added a new business unit, Amesbury Locca, and has appointed Amber Grayson to the position of sales and marketing manager for the new unit. In her new role, Grayson is responsible for managing the launch and sales of several new products being brought to North America under the new business unit. New target product categories include remote control access for homes and small businesses with emphasis on limited mobility, elderly and disabled persons. Grayson has been with the company for four years, and has held several positions, including corporate marketing coordinator and door hardware product line specialist. 

Edgetech Adds New Technical Project Manager
Edgetech I.G. has appointed a new technical project manager, Nicholas Robinson. He will chair the company’s development resources screening task group, plan and manage projects, act as liaison to the technical steering committee, as well as coordinate and assist in the manufacture of insulating glass test units.

Robinson comes to Edgetech from Moss Supply Co., where he served as a project engineer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Kent State University.

Moore Joins Winkhaus North America Inc. 
Nicholas Moore
has been named product manager for Whitewater, Wis.-based Winkhaus North America Inc. Moore will be responsible for developing new products and supporting the company’s current product offering. Previously, he worked for the Briggs and Stratton Corp. as program manager.

Moore will report to Rudy Kessler, president of Winkhaus North America Inc. and will be based in Whitewater.

Conde Named Coastal Product Line Manager at Simonton
Parkersburg, W.Va.-based Simonton Windows® has named Mark Conde to fill the position of coastal product line manager. In the new role, Conde will responsible for the marketing of the company’s impact-resistant Simonton StormBreaker Plus® product line. Conde will be relocating to Parkersburg from his current home in Indianapolis. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a master’s degree from Point Park College.

ASSOCIATIONS
Anderson and Ruth Appointed to ICC Code Change Committees
Chuck Andersen, P.E.
, and Julie Ruth, P.E., were appointed to the International Code Council (ICC) Change Committees during the Council’s 2007 annual conference in Reno, Nev. The two will represent the Schaumburg, Ill.-based American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) on the committee and will be responsible for reviewing and rendering decisions on each proposal for alterations to the International Codes.

Ruth was appointed to a committee position with the International Residential Code (IRC) Building and the Energy Code Change Committee. She is a past-chair of the ICC Industry Advisory Council, a previous member of the ICC Referenced Standard Committee and has served on many other ICC code change and ad hoc committees. As sole proprietor of JRuth Code Consulting, she represents AAMA in the ongoing development of these codes, monitors the status of code adoption by all the states, prepares articles and guides on the code requirements for glazing and glazed assemblies, and provides training on the International Codes.

Anderson was appointed to the IECC Change Committee. He served previously as a member of the ICC’s IECC Code Development Committee and on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Window and Door Association (NWDA) and the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC). In September 2007, Anderson joined the AAMA staff as codes and industry affairs manager. In this role, he acts as technical liaison between the AAMA membership and affiliated industry organizations including state, local and international code groups.

Cambridge, Ohio-based Edgetech I.G. has promoted a new key accounts representative, Irish Rubright. Rubright has been with the company for eight years as a customer service representative. In her new role, Rubright will manage all customer service processes between corporate and key accounts in coordination with national sales managers and regional sales representatives.
