“Sellebrating” Window Options
Featuring solid vinyl construction and a fusion-welded frame and sash for strength and efficiency, the Sellebrity II casement window is now available from Thermal Industries. The new window has dual-glazed 13/16–inch insulating glass with warm-edge technology, beveled exterior glazing, a dual protective color-coordinated exterior and a Q-Lon seal with interior weatherstripping.

Other features include a multi-point locking system and an Encore nested folding handle. The window is available in white, earth-tone and brown colors, as well as wood grain interior options. Painted exterior finishes are available as well.

New Double-Hung Brings More Options
Hurd Windows and Doors has expanded its H3 product line with a new double-hung window, which has the same design, performance and features as the casement. The new window features a concealed wood jambliner and easy-tilt operation for easy cleaning. It is available with an integral nailing fin for new construction and in Hurd’s Transcend line for replacements as an insert window.

According to the company, these windows have two independently operating panes that can be lowered or raised. Their sliding frames open easily, and tilt-out versions are easy to clean.

Getting Selective with Entry Designs
The Seaway Select Distinctive Entry Designs are now available from Seaway Manufacturing Corp. The line includes 22 gauge smooth and textured steel or woodgrain embossed fiberglass. In addition, a catalog of decorative glass collections with metal caming options is also available, as well as 22 paint and eight stain finishes, which are factory-applied using an oven-cured process. In addition, the line includes a number of lockset designs and finishes with coordinating factory-installed accessories such as mail slots, door knockers, peepsites, and more.

A New View on Doors and Windows
Euroview 70DS vinyl doors and window are now available from Ventana USA, made to offer the benefits of PVC while meeting both residential and commercial structural requirements.

Featuring European engineering, Euroview vinyl products offer unique functionality, daylighting, green building attributes, and are available in an array of painted and laminated color options, according to the company. In addition, the products offer high thermal insulation values.

PVC tilt/turn windows, entry doors, swing doors, fold and slide as well as lift and slide doors are available.

New MDF Doors Offer More Interior Options
Having acquired Marshfield Door Systems, Masonite now offers a router-carved, medium-density fiberboard (MDF) door collection. The collection is segmented into three separate product lines called Bolection, Carte Blanche and CYMA.

The CYMA collection of residential interior doors includes 65 standard designs at a value-driven, introductory price point, while the Bolection line is a high-end offering. The Carte Blanche collection is designed for commercial applications, and also includes 65 design styles.

All three lines are comprised of raised panel MDF doors that are constructed from a solid slab of medium-density fiberboard. Panel designs are routed, sized, machined and primed with a fully automated CNC machine and finishing line.

Nantucket Collection Gets New Additions
Douglas fir and Sapele mahogany are the newest additions to Simpson Door Company’s Nantucket Collection exterior wood doors. The collection is manufactured using two-piece laminated stile and rail construction with a modified mortise-and-tenon joinery technique. According to the company, the tenons and face-driven pins are always made of black locust, suitable for the worst of Mother Nature, and the pins provide not only aesthetics, but also help eliminate stile and rail separation.

The new Sapele mahogany doors feature a ribbon grain and reddish-brown color, while the new Douglas fir doors have a tight, vertical grain and a classic aesthetic.

Simpson also announced it is offering its water barrier technology on dozens of new door designs. According to the company, the WaterBarrier Technology combines a moisture-resistant, medium-density overlay with a thermoset acrylic latex primer topcoat and PVC glazing beads on the door’s exterior side, creating a smooth and durable exterior that resists moisture absorption and is ready to paint.

Flexible, Functional, Folding Doors
Promoting a visual and physical connection with the surrounding environment, Kolbe’s Ultra Series folding door was created to showcase flexibility and functionality. The doors can accommodate up to eight panels on each side that fold back against each other to create openings that span up to 45-feet. The doors are offered in numerous panel configurations, a broad palette of finishes and interior wood species, and other accessories to coordinate with nearly any décor.

In addition, a new Revit 3-D model of the Ultra Series folding door is now available. Kolbe’s building information modeling tools can link with external data sources to compile quantity takeoffs. The tool allows users to customize the doors’ width, height, wall offset and the number of panels.

In addition, the Ultra Series products have exteriors clad in low-maintenance, extruded aluminum containing recycled content. The outer, metal surfaces may be finished in durable coatings using a broad palette of colors and for the interior, a range of sustainably harvested wood species can be selected.
