Renolit’s Madison
Series Gets Oak-y

American Renolit Corp. has three new additions to its Exofol In stock range with the release of the Madison Series of interior woodgrain designs.

The Madison Series is based on legacy oak designs that have been standards in the residential vinyl window industry for many years. Madison N is a natural oak look, and Madison C and Madison H are darker oak looks.

The Madison films feature a specially formulated scratch-resistant coating that protects the film, according to the company.

A Clear Path to Efficient Window Wall?

Clear-Wall Corp. CEO Norm Marchand says his company’s solar window insert [Clear-Wall] can take a single-glazed window and turn it into a product with triple-glazed properties. The product has been under development for the past six years, and Marchand would eventually like to license the technology.

The product works like this: an advanced solar control window film is mounted on a lightweight aluminum frame that slides into window systems of all types, a half-inch off the glass. “By integrating the latest advancements in polymer technologies and window films, we provide customers the solution to heat loss and solar heat gain,” says Marchand. He adds that the product can used in residential and commercial applications.

John Evans’ Sons
Makes Papa Proud

John Evans’ Sons Inc. of Lansdale, Pa., is introducing a couple of new hardware products for windows.

It’s rolling out a drop-in balance for sash windows for ½-inch and ¾-inch window systems called the DI Series Constant Force Balance System.

For side-load windows, it’s introducing the SideLoad Constant Force Balance System for side-load windows.

According to the company, both new products offer significantly reduced operating forces at a lower price while taking up much less space and reducing on-hand inventory.

The springs in both products meet AAMA 902-07, “Voluntary Specification for Sash Balances,” the company says.
