EVENTS
Coast-to-Coast: MMPA and WMA
Host Major Events this Spring
T
he two leading associations for the
moulding and millwork industry
each have big events planned
for the same week in early May that
will provide plenty of networking
and educational opportunities
for attendees.
The Moulding and Millwork
Producers Association (MMPA)
will hold its annual business
meeting May 1-3 at the Coronado
Island Marriott Resort & Spa in
San Diego, Calif. Educational topics
that will be covered include foreign
and domestic markets, design trends,
poly blends, raw material supply, import/
export/distribution, opportunities in Mexico
and South America, and much more.
“This series of panels gives us the opportunity to
invite all of our millwork friends to the MMPA spring
meeting who would otherwise not be able to attend,
says Kellie Schroeder, MMPA CEO and executive vice
president. There will also be ample opportunities for networking with golf and fishing activities and evening
social events.
At the same time on the other side of the country, the
World Millwork Alliance (WMA) will host its first-ever
Leadership Conference May 1-4 at The Greenbrier Resort
in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.
According to the WMA, the Leadership Conference aims
to inspire and re-energize skilled leaders, and encourage
younger leaders, to engage in thought-provoking educa
-
tion and to challenge ones self to continue to develop as
a leader. The team-building event, keynote presentation,
and social networking will provide you with the tools you
need to IGNITE and succeed as a leader.
