Zelinski Retires After 42 Years at Winco
ZELINSKI Winco Window Co. of St. Louis recently announced the retirement of Jack Zelinski after 42 years of dedicated service. Zelinski has been an engineering cornerstone in Winco’s more than 70-year history of offering custom windows in nearly every configuration imaginable, said the company.

After mastering custom window detailing and fabricating, Zelinski turned his talents to becoming a master window design engineer. Designing custom architectural aluminum windows to meet customers’ and architects’ specifications for a wide variety of window designs was Zelinski’s specialty, said the company.

Schroeder Named Executive Vice President of the WMMPA
Matt Allen, president of the Wood Moulding & Millwork Producers Association (WMMPA) of Woodland, Calif., recently announced that Kellie Schroeder will be the new executive vice president of the association, effective January 1, 2003. Schroeder is replacing Jim Costello who is leaving the WMMPA at the end of this year.

Costello joined the WMMPA in 2000 following Bob Weiglein’s retirement. He was charged with providing interim management services, the implementation of strategic thinking and planning and also with finding a permanent executive vice president.

“My most important task was identifying a manager with the talent and enthusiasm that this association needs to move forward in this very complex manufacturing and marketing environment. I found that talent right under our nose in Kellie Schroeder,” stated Costello.

Schroeder joined the WMMPA in 1995 and has performed duties in all aspects of the association’s business, including finance, marketing and meeting management.

Costello does not plan to wait until the end of the year to pass the reigns. The transition will begin immediately and by December Schroeder will be in charge.

Bill Roberts Sales Appoints New Representative
Bill Roberts Sales Inc. of Dallas recently announced that David Allen has joined its sales agency as a manufacturer’s representative of building products to distributors and dealers in the South Central region of the United States. Allen brings with him 30 years of extensive building material and millwork experience, said the company. His office will be in Monroe, La. 

Dresser Joins KVAL Machinery Staff
DRESSERRobert “Bob” Dresser, a 25-year veteran of the millwork industry, has joined the staff of  KVAL Machinery Co. of Petaluma, Calif., as an application consultant.

In his new position, Dresser will be based out of St. Louis and will be working primarily with clients in the Central, South Central and Western states.

He comes to KVAL after having served more than eight years in a variety of top management positions with St. Louis-based Huttig Building Products. Most recently, Dresser was in charge of the regional operations for Huttig’s largest millwork distribution sales market in the Northeast.
