Rowlett Joins Coastal

Coastal Industries Inc. of Jacksonville, FL, has hired Mark Rowlett as its mid-western regional manager. Rowlett will coordinate Coastal’s manufacturers’ representatives in the 14 mid-western states and have sales responsibilities.

Burco Names Castleberry Sales Manager

Burco Inc. of Grand Rapids, MI, has hired William (Bill) Castleberry as sales manager for its automotive products. Castleberry, who previously spent eight years with ADCO Corporation, will be responsible for the coordination and management of Burco’s sales and marketing operations.

TruSeal Names Schadenfroh Productivity Specialist

Al Schadenfroh has been named productivity specialist for TruSeal Technologies Inc. of Beachwood, OH. Schadenfroh, who previously served as an industrial engineer and sales associate, will provide technical support for TruSeal’s sales team and perform productivity analysis and quality audits.


HGP Names Hathaway COO

HGP Industries, Inc. of Dallas, TX, has named Ted Hathaway chief operating officer responsible for all operations and personnel at the company’s 31 glass tempering and fabricating locations in the United States and Canada. Hathaway, who joined HGP in 1990 as president, was previously vice president of development for Oldcastle Inc.

"Ted’s contributions to our company have been significant. His in-depth understanding of our business and his personal drive and energy made this a logical decision as we organize for further growth and development of our company," said president and chief executive officer John Wittstock.


Truth Hardware Announces Changes

Truth Hardware of Owatonna, MN, has promoted Greg Wobschall to vice president and general manager there, Tim Pelton to vice president and general manager in its Pacoima, CA, facility and has hired Jeff Mitchell as vice president and general manager in its Hazleton, PA, facility.

In addition, Doug Johnson has been promoted to the position of director of engineering and Dick Emery to the position of director of quality. Tiffany Boecker, Tony Schema and Laurie Wencl have joined the inside sales team, while Kevin Beck, James Legacy, David Sills and Lorne Weigt have been added to the regional sales team. The marketing department has hired Greg Osberg as marketing and product development manager, while Charles Aurich has been hired as a product manager.

Walker Promoted at Harmon

Harmon Ltd. of Bloomington, MN, has promoted John R. Walker, III, to vice president of design and engineering. Walker, who previously served as vice president of design, will implement and manage the corporate plan for seamless project teams of project managers and technical staff and guide the company’s design philosophies.

Eric Stange Replaces Father At Tools For Bending

Tools For Bending, Inc. of Denver, CO, has announced that Eric Stange has replaced his father, Ronald Stange, as president. The younger Stange has worked for Tools For Bending for more than 20 years, starting as an operator and machinist.

Isuzu Names Page Director Service/Parts

American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) of Whittier, CA, has appointed Anthony Page as director of commercial vehicle service and parts. Page, who has been with Isuzu for 14 years, has been an integral part of Isuzu’s success with cab-over trucks, according to the company.

Cadillac Plastic Announces Moves

Cadillac Plastic has promoted Jim Litkovitz to Midwest region customer service manager. Litkovitz, who joined the company in 1991, will manage customer service representatives in the Midwest. The company has promoted Steve Burnett to central region customer service manager, and he will manage customer service representatives in that region. John Shepherd will serve as eastern region customer service manager.


Western Reserve Products Announces New President and CEO

Western Reserve Products of Hendersonville, TN, has appointed Andrew Jensen president and chief executive officer. Jensen, formerly president of Jensen Management Group, has served on the board of directors for Western Reserve Products.

Architectural Glass and Metals Adds Fujawa to Board of Directors

Architectural Glass and Metals, Inc. of Kalamazoo, MI, has added Robert Fujawa to its board of directors. He is currently vice president of operations.

Carolina Brush Introduces Plant Manager

Carolina Brush, Inc. of Gastonia, NC, as announced the appointment of Jerry Underwood to the position of plant manager. Underwood, who has spent 28 years in management positions, will be responsible for plant manufacturing and operations with Carolina Brush.


James J. Dwyer, Jr., Syracuse Glass Co.

James Joseph Dwyer, Jr., of Syracuse Glass Co. in Syracuse, NY, died after suffering a heart attack during the auto glass conference in Memphis, TN, in September. He was 31.

Dwyer was in management at Syracuse Glass and manager of Juno’s Glass in Auburn, NY. He is survived by his wife, the former Jessica Angelone; as well as his parents, three sisters and brother. Contributions may be made to the James J. Dwyer, Jr. Memorial Fund to benefit the Corcoran High School Community in care of Syracuse Glass Co., P.O. Box 381, Syracuse, NY 13206.


Vistawall Awards Salespeople

Vistawall Architectural Products of Terrell, TX, recently recognized its top five salespeople of 1997. Jeff Miller was awarded the 1997 Harry P. Nicholson Sales Award as top salesperson. The remaining salespeople recognized included Donna Criscione, George King, Kent Baumann and Rob Gauthier.
