ICD Develops Screen Print

Industrial Control Development, Inc. (ICD) of Vancouver, WA, has introduced Aqua- Vue™ water-borne screen print inks. According to the company, the inks, which are available in screen printing or spray, provide a decorative effect and bond chemically to glass. They are used for interior and exterior glass applications such as furniture, wall cladding and partitions, marble and granite facades, store fixtures and other substrates.

Viracon Offers Crystal Chrome

Viracon of Owatonna, MN, presents Solarscreen™ Crystal Chrome, its newest high- performance reflective coating. According to the company, the coating can enhance the visual aesthetics of a building with definition and clarity in a number of glass configurations. The company says the coating provides an excellent shading coefficient, good energy efficiency and a reduction in solar heat gain with standard glass substrates.

Super-Hydrophilic Material from Ventree

Ventree of Los Angeles, CA, offers a super-hydrophilic material that it says is the world’s first permanent anti-fog material. According to the company, the material can be coated on to a film or any other surface material and used to deter fog or keep the surface looking clean. The company says its coating is scratch-free and available in clear and tinted colors.


4000 Series Sliding Door and Window from Arcadia

Arcadia Architectural Products of Stamford, CT, has introduced the 4000 series sliding doors and windows. The three-5/8-inch frame series is suitable for retrofit and can be adapted to the new construction market, according to the company. The system features a variety of finishes, minimal sight lines, hardware features color matched inside aluminum clam latch handles and a vinyl track cap.

Security Lock Adds Mas-Hamilton Devices

Security Lock Distributors of Needham Heights, MA, is stocking Mas-Hamilton’s full line of locking devices and accessories. Included among these devices are the Auditcom, Vindicator, Model 50 locks and the PowerLever electronic keyless door locks, which feature PowerStar technology. The locks contain such features as keyless six-digit entry, no wiring, user changeable PIN’s, optional audit trail capability and a variety of finishes.

Low-Energy Operator from Dorma

The Dorma Group of Reamstown, PA, offers the ED6000 low-energy door operator for barrier-free accessibility. According to the company, when opening assistance is not required or when there is a power loss, the device operates like a regular closer. The company says the non-handed unit, which controls doors from 36 inches and 100 pounds to 48 inches and 200 pounds, is ADA and NFPA compliant.


Insulgard Introduces Quick-Ship Program

Insulgard Corporation of New Hudson, MI, offers a new quick-ship program that it says makes the company’s storefront systems available for fast delivery to glass contractors nationwide. The program will include Insulgard’s 44/250 sash system and 44/400 framing system and it allows customers to combine their standard and built-resistant framing for cost savings.


DuPont Introduces Interlayer

DuPont® of Herts, England has introduced the SentryGlas™ Plus Ionoplast glass laminating interlayer. According to the company, the interlayer, which utilizes DuPont polymer film, was initially designed to meet hurricane regulations. The company says SentryGlas Plus has a high adhesion to glass through ionic bonding, is transparent, non hygroscopic, non blocking in contact with itself and accessible in conventional PVB/glass laminating production lines.


Florida Block Offers New Window

In early 1999, Florida Block Windows of Pensacola, FL, plans to introduce its Little Big Block™ window. The Little Big Block offers a combination of geometric patterns of six- and eight-inch blocks in the same frame, according to the company.


Polishing Oil from Sprayway®

Sprayway of Addison, IL, offers Spray No. 920 industrial polishing oil for the glass and mirror industry. According to the company, the spray minimizes belt loading and changing, increases production and improves finishes. The company says it also extends the working life of abrasive belts and wheels and keeps belts soft and free-cutting.

The company also offers its spray number 43 ammoniated glass cleaner and spray number 862 heavy foam utility cleaner. Spray number 43 is for use on windows, mirrors, windshields, chrome and porcelain, while spray number 862 is appropriate for doors, glass, mirrors and windows.


Glazing Panel System from POLYGAL® USA

POLYGAL USA has introduced the Triple-Clip™ 5/8-inch triple-wall polycarbonate glazing system. The system has an aluminum base profile, which is fastened to the support structure, and a polycarbonate cap profile that clips into the base profile and polycarbonate panels. The panels are available in nominal 24-inch widths and lengths to 36 inches, with standard colors of clear, bronze and opal.

Glass Supplies Presents Combo Cutter

Glass Supplies, Inc. of Charlotte, NC, has introduced the hand glass cutter/utility knife combo for replacement and art glass shops. The tool features a universal sharpener, rotating knife blade, break-off type cutting blades and a tungsten carbide glass cutting head. The tool is ideal for cutting glass and blunting edges on cut glass up to 1/4-inch thick, according to the company.
