Reviews & Previews
Echoes of Excitement From the Mountain Top
Levels of enthusiasm were high with new products, and ideas ran rampant at Glass Expo Rocky Mountain this past January 11-12, 2002. Warming up to the winter weather, attendees came from the Rocky Mountain region to be a part of Glass Expo Rocky Mountain 2002 in Denver. The Adam's Mark Denver Hotel was host to approximately 800 glass industry members. Two days of seminars, exhibitions and social events brought education to the local area and its residents.
Sessions such as "Auto Glass Installation Practices," "Flat Glass Window Film Installation," "Selling Skills for the Front Line" and "Understanding the New Auto Glass Industry Safety Standards," were among the many seminars scattered throughout the event.
A welcoming cocktail party, sponsored by Tubelite, kicked off the evening on Friday night. Drinks were provided by the Colorado Glazing Contractors Association (CGCA). This time was used as a great networking opportunity and the CGCAs new president, Lou Sigman, was officially welcomed and asked to give a brief address to the crowd.
Keynote speaker Jerry Wright entertained his audience at the Friday afternoon luncheon sponsored by C.R. Laurence with information on "Bettering Your Chances in Business." Exhibitors and attendees alike found Glass Expo Rocky Mountain to be both educational and enjoyable and are planning on being a part of the next show.
