Interpane Glass Co. Management Changes
Interpane Glass Co. of Clinton, N.C., announced changes in leadership throughout the company’s top levels. Interpane’s new president, Thomas Köhler, will now be responsible for running Interpane’s U.S. business. In addition, Frank Forgione will continue to serve as national sales manager and Jörn Hesselbach will focus on the company’s European operations. Brian Kenedy joined the Interpane group in June 2002 as vice president of sales and marketing.

AFGD Divides Operations; Adds New Managers
Previously divided into two regions, AFGD has decided to add a third region to its coverage, resulting in the appointment of two new regional managers. Bob Taylor, central regional manager, will work with branches in Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and the Houston, Austin and San Antonio areas of Texas. A ten-year veteran of AFGD, Taylor was previously Western regional manager.
David McComas, previously the aluminum storefront metal systems manager, is now Eastern regional manager, responsible for locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
Todd French, who has been with AFGD since 1994, will now be serving as Western regional manager and is responsible for working with operations in Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Utah and the Dallas and Fort Worth areas of Texas.
Centria Appoints New Manager of International Business Development
Centria International of Pittsburgh recently appointed Edward T. Skopinski as international business development manager for the Eastern part of the United States.
Skopinski has more than four years experience in the construction building automation industry. He will be responsible for the promotion of the company’s products to architectural, engineering and contracting firms.
|Ledgerwood Named EFCO Corp. Director; Breitzman To Serve As
EFCO Corp. of Monett, Mo., has announced two recent appointments. Dennis Ledgerwood has been named the company’s new corporate director of materials management, and Bruce Breitzman has been named plant manager of EFCO’s Barnwell production facility.
Ledgerwood’s responsibilities include purchasing, materials, scheduling, inventory and tool crib. He has 25 years of experience with Fasco Motors of Cassville, Mo.
Breitzman will be responsible for overseeing all areas of Barnwell’s operations. He brings to EFCO a background in precision medical machining.
Moduline Announces Appointment
Moduline Window Systems of Terrell, Texas, has named Mike Gorman as Northeast regional sales manager. Gorman will be responsible for sales, developing relationships with key accounts and promoting Moduline’s products to architects. With 20 years of experience selling architectural metals and glass in the Northeast region, Gorman previously worked for PPG Industries and Interpane Glass.
Vistawall Names South Central District Manager; New Glass Systems Manager
Vistawall Architectural Products of Terrell, Texas, has named its South Texas district manager, Len Lewis, as its South Central district manager. Lewis began his career with Vistawall in 1997 as a field sales representative in the Houston area. His new territory will encompass the states of Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Southeastern New Mexico.
The company has also named Robert W. Jaskiewicz as glass systems manager within the standard products group. His roles include management of all aspects of the glass entrance system product line.
Jaskiewicz previously was lead project manager for two other companies in the Vistawall Group, Naturalite Skylight Systems and Skywall Translucent Systems. He has more than 20 years of experience in glass entrance systems.
In addition, Kent Baumann has been appointed to the position of strategic alliance manager for the Vistawall Group. Since he began his career with Vistawall Architectural Products in 1988, Baumann has held positions in engineering, estimating and field sales and has been a South Central district sales manager. In his new role, Baumann will work with architects, general contractors and developers to promote the company’s products and services.
GED Announces New Sales Representation
GED customers will now be able to contact Mark Wolonsky and Jim Bassett directly for current information on all GED products.
Wolonsky and Bassett previously interfaced with GED customers on other product lines that they represent through Industrial Sales Corp. (ISC) West. Wolonsky was previously a direct sales rep for GED and Bassett has represented products in the industry for four years.
Bystronic Appoints New Director of Sales and Marketing
Hauppauge, N.Y.-based Bystronic has appointed James Johnson as director of sales and marketing. Johnson will be responsible for all marketing and sales activities of Bystronic metal processing systems in the North American market. He brings 15 years of industry experience and extensive background in customer service as well as sales and management.
Tremco Appoints Two New Divisional Presidents
Beachwood, Ohio-based Tremco Inc. announced the promotion of two of its employees to the positions of divisional president. Former vice president and general manager of the roofing and building maintenance division, Deryl W. Kratzer, was recently appointed to president of the roofing and building maintenance division. Kratzer started with Tremco in 1984 as a sales representative and has served as regional and divisional managers in both Texas and New Jersey. A graduate of Texas Tech and Texas A&I, he and his wife, Theresa, live with their three daughters in Hudson, Ohio.
Secondly, Randall J. Korach has been promoted to president of Tremco’s sealant/weatherproofing division. Korach began his career with the company in 1998 as a special projects coordinator for sealants and went on to serve as director of operations and vice president of operations. He was vice president and general manager of the sealant/weatherproofing division prior to his promotion.
A graduate of Colby College, Korach has completed the general managers program at Harvard Business School and resides with his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter in Shaker Heights, Ohio.
ADCO Announces Scott Bays as New Market Area Sales Manager
ADCO Products Inc. of Michigan Center, Mich., has hired Scott Bays to serve as its market area sales manager for construction.
Prior to joining ADCO, Bays served as key account manager for Hagemeyer North America in Atlanta. He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana State University.
Joachim Schmid Named Managing Director
Effective October 1, 2002, the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) announced that Joachim Schmid will take over both of the divisions covering construction equipment, building material machinery and mining equipment. The election of Schmid was a result of a unanimous vote by both of the executive boards representing the subject divisions.
Previously deputy managing director of the VDMA’s compressor and compressed air and vacuum technology divisions, Schmid will take over for Dr. Heribert J. Wiedenhues who has been managing both operations since the sudden death of Udo Köstlin in February.
