National Sunroom Manufacturer to Offer SunCleanTM Self-Cleaning Glass

Pittsburgh’s PPG Industries announced that its SunClean self-cleaning glass will now be offered in the entire sunroom line available from Florian Greenhouse of Georgetown, S.C. 

The manufacturer is offering the glass through its national network of home improvement dealers or from Florian directly.

and hospitals,” said Steve Franza, vice president of Florian Greenhouse. 

“It’s exciting to join with one of America’s most respected glass makers to offer a high-performing self-cleaning option.”

Patrick J. Kenney, director of marketing for PPG’s flat glass products, said SunClean is ideal for sunrooms. “Sunrooms are all about views and SunClean glass makes the views better than ever,” he said.

Coastal Industries Launches Distribution Partnership  with SEN Buying Group

Coastal Industries Inc. of Jacksonville, Fla., has launched a strategic partnership with SEN Buying Group of Chapel Hill, N.C., a kitchen and bath dealer organization.

“One of our corporate missions in the United States is to increase our national distribution base and the number of showrooms that have access to our shower enclosures and new Paragon series product lines,” said Ray Adams, Coastal’s vice president of sales and marketing. 

“Teaming with SEN is a perfect fit to increase our distribution and exposure in the kitchen and bath market.”

Extech to Import Politec Panels
EXTECH®/Exterior Technologies Inc., a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer of skylights, windows and glazed wall systems, has entered into a contract with Politec of Switzerland to import standing seam light transmitting panels.

EXTECH® has developed aluminum framing systems for use with the Politec panels. It incorporates low-friction gasketing and controlled gasket pressure to address the thermal expansion, which is characteristic of polycarbonates, said the company.

MTI Demonstrates AcuGlass Cutting System at Open House 
Machine Techniques Inc. (MTI) of Aurora, Ohio, demonstrated its AcuGlass™ glass cutting and optimizing system at a two-day open house at its headquarters in Aurora. Attended by vendors, manufacturing and financial representatives from throughout the window and door manufacturing industry, MTI’s newly configured Inline Glass line, featuring its vertical model V-60B series glass washer, was demonstrated at the event.
