Letís Go Window Shopping

Glass installation is proving to be a field with good job security right now, with the likes of Hurricane Isabel sacking the East Coast three months ago, and it is helping our currently shaky economy. So just how does your business compare to others in the industry right now?

We polled shops in Philadelphia., St. Louis, Portland, Ore., Savannah, Ga., and Albuquerque, N. M., to compare prices for the replacement of a double-strength window glass pane, set in putty, of a 36-inch wide by 30-inch high double-hung, wood window. All listed prices include installation. While Philadelphia comes in as having the lowest average price on window replacement of those cities surveyed, we all know there are many factors involved in replacing a window and as the tables indicate, prices can vary widely in any city.
