Vetrotech Saint-Gobain Relocates Facility

Vetrotech Saint-Gobain of Auburn, Wash., has announced it will be relocating its North American headquarters and manufacturing operations into a larger facility. The new plant, which will remain in Auburn, will be 33,000 square feet, and the company’s entire product range will be manufactured there. 

According to Len Brunette, president, the move was necessary in order “to create more space for the new, state-of-the-art, automated high-production equipment, as well as the consolidation of operations, for improved service and enhanced quality control.”

Seasonshield Inc. Announces In-House Glass Lamination
Venice, Fla.-based Seasonshield Inc. has announced that it has installed an in-house UVEKOL glass lamination line from Surface Specialties UCB, now Cytec Surface Specialties. The line will give Seasonshield, a producer of vinyl-framed, high-impact resistant windows and doors greater control over quality, lead times and waste.

“We were attracted by the ease of the one-component system, the speed of production, low capital expenditure and expandability,” said Chuck Kowalski, operations manager. “Start-up has been as simple as advertised, and we are already achieving production levels of around 1,000 square feet per shift. The target, however, is to reach 1,500 square feet and we are working with Cytec to achieve this.”

TruSeal Announces Relationship With Tremco 

TruSeal Technologies Inc. of Beachwood, Ohio, has announced that it has entered into a distributor relationship with Tremco Ltd. of Berkshire, England. Tremco will be responsible for sales and distribution of TruSeal’s warm-edge spacers, Insuledge® and DuraSeal™ in the United Kingdom (UK), Republic of Ireland and France. 

“We are very excited about working with Tremco to develop a larger presence for TruSeal insulating glass spacer systems in the UK, Republic of Ireland and France,” said August Coppola, president of TruSeal. “In its more than 70 years of experience, Tremco has earned a solid reputation for innovation and quality in the United States and Europe—we are very proud to be a part of that.”

IPS Appoints SRS as a Direct Distributor
Innovative Polishing Systems (IPS), a supplier of equipment, materials and technology for removing scratches, polishing and resurfacing glass and acrylics based in Stuart, Fla., has appointed Surface Restoration Specialists of Bend, Ore., as a manufacturer-direct distributor. 

“Previously we had used companies that did not necessarily concentrate on our products and technology, resulting in very large mark-ups and high process to the end users,” said Dave Gittins, president of IPS. “We felt we needed a distributor that would provide full customer support and offer products at a wholesale price.”

Westcrowns Opens North Atlantic Regional Distribution Center

On April 1 Westcrowns, Inc., of Ocean Isle, NC, opened a distribution center in Norfolk, VA, that will inventory the Pilkington ProfilitTM line.  The new distribution center will service Delaware, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, West Virginia and Eastern North Carolina.

According to the company's announcement, the Mid-Atlantic distribution center will offer customers low costs by eliminating international freight expenses and will also provide fast delivery for compacted construction schedules.
