Ashland Expands Its Line of Adjustable Door Hinges

Ashland Hardware Systems, headquartered in Lowell, Ind., has unveiled a new adjustable swing door hinge for wood, vinyl, aluminum and steel doors. Central to the hinge design is its patent-pending adjustment mechanism for achieving low adjustment torque in both the vertical and horizontal direction.

The new hinge uses a standard hex wrench for easy adjustment and positive engagement to avoid stripping. It also delivers the flexibility to adjust 0.25-inch vertically and 0.1875-inch horizontally.

The product conforms to existing door market demands by seamlessly retrofitting a 4- by 4-inch one-step pocket route with a 0.625-inch corner radius. In addition, the screw holes are located away from panel edges to prevent accidental wood splitting during hardware fabrication.

Truth Adds New 2-Point Mortise Locks

Adding to its line of handle sets and single-point mortise locks for sliding patio doors, Truth Hardware of Owatonna, Minn., is offering a new line of 2-point mortise locks.

According to information from the company, the new 2-point mortise locks are available in three different styles to meet the varying design requirements of sliding door manufacturers. In addition, the company has added a unique “anti-slam” feature that assures the lock hooks can’t be damaged by closing the door with the hooks extended accidentally.

Swinging to Action

Gyro Tech® by NABCO Entrances Inc. of Muskego, Wis., has launched a new side-load header option with its line of swing doors.

The access panel, located on the side of the header instead of the bottom, pivots up and locks into position. The header can be installed or removed quickly for easy servicing while the door remains in a closed position, eliminating the loss of energy from within the building, according to the company.
