CONSTRUCT2009 to Spotlight Glass

CONSTRUCT2009, scheduled to take place June 16-19, 2009, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, has announced that it will host a Glass Pavilion, cosponsored by USGlass magazine. The pavilion will host a wide cross-section of glass product suppliers. In addition to this dedicated exhibit space, there will be a glass education area on the show floor, in which exhibitors are invited to participate free of charge. “Being in the pavilion offers a number of great advantages for glass companies, including access to complimentary space for education and much more,” says Debra Levy, USGlass publisher.More than 180 companies are scheduled so far to take part in CONSTRUCT2009. The re-designed event encompasses the planning, design, engineering, specifying, construction, renovation and operation of the commercial building industry. Online attendee registration opens late February 2009.In addition, organizers are making plans for networking opportunities, technical tours, spouse and student programs and CSI member events. BEMA Holds First CEO Roundtable 

At the conclusion of the Bath Enclosure Manufacturers Association’s (BEMA) first chief executive officer roundtable, organizers announced plans to make the session an annual event. Members of eight leading bath enclosure manufacturing companies gathered on November 5 in Orlando, Fla., to discuss a variety of topics impacting their industry. Afternoon discussions were followed by a reception and dinner and a golf outing the next morning.The roundtable provided an opportunity to bring together manufacturers, to discuss topics ranging from the economy and industry forecasts to standards, education, training and the association’s future. “It was important that we get back to the basics: BEMA objectives and bringing manufacturers together for the good of the industry,” said Mark Rowlett, BEMA president. Future meetings will be scheduled next year.
