FeneTech Europe SARL, the Luxembourg-based sister company of FeneTech Inc., has named Christian Krenn as sales director for Europe. Krenn joined the company in September 2012 as sales manager for Germany, Austria and the other European German-speaking countries. He will now be responsible for managing, monitoring and developing the market for the company’s software across all of Europe and also leading the European sales team.

Before joining FeneTech Europe, Krenn was sales director for Soft Solution, a quality control equipment specialist for the glass processing industry based in Waidhofen, Austria.

LTS Drafting & Engineering LLC in Englewood, Colo., announced the appointments of Barry A. King, P.E. and Jason E. Barrick, P.E. to the positions of senior project engineer and director of business development, respectively.

King will be responsible for ensuring the structural adequacy of numerous product applications. He is licensed as a professional engineer in 16 jurisdictions, including California.

Barrick, in addition to contributing to production work, will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships within various industries.

Bill White is the new area manager in Virginia for Binswanger Glass. Prior to joining the company, White held several senior positions at former Binswanger parent company Vitro America for more than 33 years, including director of fabrication processes and area manager.

White, who most recently served as branch manager at Binswanger’s Richardson, Texas, location, will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of the nine locations in the company’s Virginia region.

Houston-based Quanex Building Products Corp. has hired Thomas Herriges to serve as general manager of its door and window systems business. He will oversee all of the company’s door and window system sales, and will report to Dave Petratis, Quanex president and CEO.

Herriges previously served as director of operations for Honeywell International/Autolite LLC and as manufacturing and supply chain manager for 3M manufacturing and supply chain services. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and earned his master’s degree in business administration from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.

Brian Wiles has joined the Walker Glass sales and architectural promotion team for its acid-etched glass and mirror products. He has more than two decades of experience and has worked for various glass fabricators in Southern Ontario including ProTemp, where he had been since 2006. He will cover the greater Toronto area in his new role.

Pittsburgh-based Thermal Industries, a division of Atrium Corp., named Scott Jeffreys as vice president of sales. Jeffreys has 20 years of sales management in the window industry, most recently as northern regional sales manager for Atrium Windows & Doors. Previously, he served as vice president of sales and marketing at Performance Brick, and as a national accounts manager for Simonton Windows and Fypon.

In addition, the company named Dave Steinberg as sales manager. He has more than 30 years of experience in the window industry.

The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) announced its board members for the 2013 term and has approved new members of its executive committee.

Those elected include Sneh Kumar of Kawneer; Jeff Baker of WestLab Canada, Mahabir Bhandari of Oak Ridge National Laboratory; and Gary Curtis of Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance.

In addition, NFRC also established a new executive committee. The committee includes Steve Strawn of Jeld-Wen as the chair, Baker as the vice-chair and Steve Farrar of Guardian Industries as secretary. Kumar will be the committee’s treasurer, Joe Hayden of Pella is the previous chair and Jim Krahn, of Marvin Windows and Doors is the ombudsman.

The Washington Glass Association (WGA) announced its 2013 elected officers and board of directors. Bill Coady of Guardian Industries Corp. will serve as president, Bernie Thueringer of Pacific Glass Inc. has become past president, and Amy Anderson of Atlas Supply Inc. will serve as vice president. Jon Larson of Larson Glass Company Inc. will be WGA's secretary and Ed Howell of Hartung Glass will be treasurer. Maryanne Howell will continue to serve as the executive director of the association.

Members of the 2013 board of directors include Peter Barnhart of Pacific Glass & Door, Bud Henson of Window Tech Inc., Richard Sorrells of Brower Tinting and Graphics, Norm Stow of Herzog Glass Inc. and Gary Towndrow of RGA Architectural Sales.

Amber Grayson of Grayson Group Sales & Marketing LLC, is the first regional sales representative in the United States for EuGenie, a Quebec-based North American manufacturer of door and door jamb machinery.

Grayson’s territory primarily includes the states in the mid-section of the U.S. Vetrotech Saint-Gobain hired Bill Nagle as its newest independent sales representative covering the state of Illinois. Nagle has more than 20 years of sales experience. Previously he was an independent sales representative responsible for architectural sales in the Midwest for another manufacturer. Prior to his architectural sales experience, he was a sales engineer at AT&T.

Serious Energy, based in Sunnyvale, Calif., announced Mike Brisbin has assumed the role of eastern region sales manager for its SeriousWindows vinyl replacement division.

Brisbin is based in upstate New York and serves accounts from Virginia to Maine, as well as some key accounts. He has a background in windows, general building materials and home improvement.

Wausau Window and Wall Systems in Wausau, Wis., hired Gregg Tassone, a partner with Engineered Window Systems LLC, as its architectural sales representative for the areas of New York City and Northern New Jersey. He has 35 years of experience in the glazing industry.

Prior to joining Engineered Window Systems, Tassone worked with Traco Inc. as regional sales manager in New York and New Jersey.

Vitrum Industries of Langley, British Columbia, named Brad Iverson as a member of its sales team. Iverson will be responsible for full-service glass fabrication and case distribution in both Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada. Iverson has 11 years of experience in the glass field.
