Jeld-Wen Purchases LaCantina Doors

Jeld-Wen has purchased LaCantina Doors, a manufacturer of folding and multi-slide door systems based in Oceanside, Calif. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“With the booming popularity of folding and multi-slide door systems, the acquisition gives us additional resources, capacity and a leading brand in this growing segment of the market,” says Colin Shaffner, Jeld-Wen’s senior vice president of windows. “It’s a great fit with our mission to continue to push design innovation and offer best-in-class products to our customers not only in North America, but worldwide.”

LaCantina has been in business since 2003 and builds door systems for the residential and commercial markets. The company was named one of San Diego’s fastest-growing private companies in 2015 by the San Diego Business Journal.
