The PPE bag has both carrying handles and shoulder straps to assist installers on the jobsite.
Translucent Wall Systems
Major Industries’ translucent wall systems provide the benefits of light diffusion and high thermal performance, as well as privacy and the blockage of a direct line of sight into interior spaces. The systems are available in both 2.75-inch and 4-inch panel configurations. Small sections of glass can be used to highlight specific views, and polycarbonate multi-wall panels can be incorporated into the system to provide some visual dissonance or to inject color and pattern.
Innovative Glass Corp., Switchable Privacy Glass
Innovative Glass Corp offers a dynamic glass technology known as Liquid Crystal Switchable Privacy Glass, also called LC Privacy Glass, or “eGlass.” According to the company, this laminated glass has an electrified film embedded within the glass and switches from clear to frosted white at the touch of a button, allowing for instant privacy.
In the unpowered, default state, the glass is completely obscure, providing 100 percent privacy from both sides. Although private, the light still passes through. When you provide electricity, the molecules in the film re-orient, and the glass instantly becomes clear.
LC Privacy Glass has no moving parts, and is virtually soundproof because it’s laminated. The glass can be tempered as well, making it almost indestructible if needed.
Wiring methods range from simple door loops, to electrified hinges, to sophisticated and proprietary power transfer systems for the sliding/breakaway doors.
Dow Corning, 778
Silicone Liquid Flashing
