Ready to Buy
USGlass Magazine Looks at Changing Patterns in Machinery Purchases
by Ellen Rogers

Now is a good time to buy glass fabrication machinery—and USGlass readers are doing just that, or plan to do so soon. In fact, about half of those who took part in a recent survey told us they’ve made a major equipment purchase in the last 12 months, while the other half plan to buy in the next 12 months.

These are just some of the findings of a recent research project commissioned by USGlass magazine to learn more about plans companies have regarding machinery purchases and buying trends.

Respondents answered questions about when they last made a significant machinery purchase and/or when they plan to make one, their budget, what they will be buying and when they expect to see a payback on their purchase. Take a look at the results over the next few pages and see how your company’s purchasing plans and investments stack up.

If your company will be purchasing new equipment and/or machinery, or has done so in the past year, we welcome your feedback and participation in future articles. Contact Ellen Rogers at erogers@glass.com to tell us about your recent and future machinery purchases.
