Trulite Completes Sixth Acquisition in Five Years

Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions has purchased Bradenton, Fla.-based R.F. Supply Inc. (RFS), a regional fabricator and distributor of glass products for architectural, industrial, commercial and custom applications. Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

The purchase marks Trulite’s sixth acquisition since April 2011. The transaction expands Trulite’s presence in the Florida market. RFS supplies tempered, insulating and mirrored products.

“Our continued pursuit of operational excellence has positioned us well to meet the rapidly increasing demand for quality fabricated products,” says Paul Schmitz, Trulite CEO.

Michael Hoelle, R.F. Supply general manager, will continue with the company.

Assa Abloy to Acquire Brazilian Companies

Assa Abloy has taken steps to increase its footprint in Brazil. The company has signed agreements to acquire two Brazilian companies—Papaiz, a lock company, and Udinese, a manufacturer of hardware for sliding doors and windows.

“I am very pleased that Papaiz and Udinese are joining the Assa Abloy Group,” says Johan Molin, Assa Abloy president and CEO. “Papaiz and Udinese represent for the group two major acquisitions in the Brazilian market. This constitutes an important next step in our strategy to grow market leadership in emerging markets.”
