New on The Job
Dear Window Film:
I love tinting cars and I have experimented with different types of tint for about six months. I have tinted about six cars and have done my own four times. I am pretty good at it, but I still get pin-size bubbles once in a while.
I recently moved to Ellicott City, Md., and I am in the process of putting together a new price list on tinting. I would like to watch a professional tinter for a few hours, but have not been able to find a company that would allow me to do that. I feel most professionals around here donít help others with tips because they feel they will lose business.
Like the article ďTint TalkĒ said (see July-August 2003 Window Film, page 10), it isnít hard to start the business, but if you donít have enough experience, you donít want to make enemies by doing poor work.
