International Window Film
Conference, Expo and Tint-Off™
March 3-4, 2006
Cashman Convention Center
Las Vegas, Nevada
Sponsored by Window Film magazine

We all know that life on the West Coast runs at a different pace than life on the East Coast and they say it’s all about location, location, location, so we’ll see just how different the vibe for the International Window Film Conference, Expo and Tint-Off™ is when it moves off the East Coast and heads west for the first time in five years.
The 2006 event, built around the theme “Wild, Wild West,” will offer in-depth coverage of the industry, much the way it has in years past, returning to its original scheduling line-up of seminars first, leading up to a climactic competition in the 2006 Tint-Off.

Taking place March 3-4, 2006 at the Cashman Convention Center in Las Vegas, the City of Lights offers much for family, friends and attendees after hours – almost as much as the Conference offers during the day. Once again, attendees to the IWFE Conference are invited to attend the IGA Spring Glass Show™ free of charge.

What Happens in Vegas...
Experience everything Vegas, the way it used to be, only at the Golden Nugget. You’ll enjoy a vintage appeal while experiencing AAA Four Diamond Award-winning service, classic accommodations, a cool casino, jammin’ entertainment, fabulous food, and much more.

The Golden Nugget is located in downtown Las Vegas.

Places to Go, Things to Do
It’s not all burlesque out in Vegas. There are plenty of family-oriented activities within Vegas itself and numerous other activities within driving distance of the famous Las Vegas Strip. In addition to many top shows such as Cirque de Soliel and the ABBA musical Mama Mia, there are free activities as well, including the Dancing Waters in front of the Bellagio. Some of the hotels also offer free shows, too, and if you want more educational fare, the Hoover Dam is within driving distance Las Vegas. Other opportunities present themselves, too, such as hot-air balloon and trail rides.

International Window Film Tint-Off—Auto and Flat
The 5th Annual International Window Film Tint-Off™ is sure to draw a huge crowd of competitors this year, on the heels of last year’s competition, which crowned the first-ever two-time winner of the event and saw the first perfect score in the preliminary rounds.

The prizes remain the same this year: $5,000, a trophy and bragging rights go to the World’s Best Automotive Tinter; the second place finisher receives a silver medal and $1,000 and a bronze medal goes to the third place finisher, along with $500.

The flat-glass tinting competition returns again in 2006 and will follow a similar style to that which it had last year. Preliminary rounds will take place while the judges are evaluating the auto glass competition, and contestants vie for a $2,000 grand prize and a trophy (with the second place finisher receiving a silver medal).

All contestants of the 2006 Tint-Off will receive a certificate of participation.

Distributors will be encouraged to send three contestants to compete in Las Vegas and are encouraged to send the best of their best to this international industry event. In fact, tinters can get their distributors involved as well and save! A tinter who is nominated by a distributor pays $350 for the competition, which includes full admission to the IWFE conference. Non-sponsored contestants pay $500.

Anyone interested in participating in the Tint-Off must pre-register, as there will be no onsite registration for the competition.

For more information, please contact Hayley Steele at 540/720-5584 x 151 or by e-mail at hsteele@glas.com.
