Five Things Not to Miss at IWFE 2007
Your Guide to This Year’s International Window Film Conference and Expo™

As the International Window Film Conference and Expo™ approaches quickly, you’ll want to start planning your days at the show. The event will be held May 17-19, 2007, at the Cashman Center in Las Vegas. Following are the five events Window Film magazine has picked out that you won’t want to miss during the show.

1 Keynote Speaker: Ralph Nader Come listen as political activist Ralph Nader shares his views on the automotive industry. Nader is the author of the book Unsafe at Any Speed and has been actively involved in automotive safety issues for nearly 40 years; in addition to having helped shape motor vehicles safety laws, he also was instrumental in facilitating the recall of defective motor vehicles over the years.

2 Glass and Glazing Update: A glass industry expert will provide this seminar, and will explain some of the newest products in glass. Examples of the products to be discussed include self-cleaning and low-maintenance glass, advances in low-E glass and more and how window film will fit into the picture with these new products on the market.

3 Security Glazing Update: This seminar will offer some updates on the security aspect of film, from possible terrorism targets that might be in need of film to some of the new products on the market, including films designed to foil spy plots and prevent electronic break-ins.

4 Diversification and Demos: Come watch as an industry expert demonstrates a scratch removal and insulating glass unit repair on the show floor. Then, if you’re interested in adding these services to your own business, come meet with Mike Boyle, president of Glas-Weld Systems Inc., and learn what's needed to make this change.

5 The Americas’ Glass Showcase™ and Spring Auto Glass Show™: This year, for the first time, the International Window Film Conference and Expo will be co-located with the Americas’ Glass Showcase and the Spring Auto Glass Show. Both will offer you a chance to check out what’s happening in the other realms of the industry, and may offer you a chance to explore some add-on products for your company. The Americas’ Glass Showcase is sponsored by the Americas Glass Association (AGA) and the Spring Auto Glass Show is sponsored by the Independent Glass Association (IGA).
