In the Zone
Hanita Coating’s new product, SolarZoneXTRM exterior window films are metallized polymeric-based film designed for commercial products requiring long-term service periods and is compatible with nearly all types of glazing, according to the company. SolarZoneXTRM Silver 20 is designed for vertical architectural glass applications, while the SkyLite and SkyLite PolyZone Silver 20 will work for flat- and sloped-roofing applications.

Safe and Sound
3M announced its Scotchshield™ Automotive Security Films which the company says rejects 46 percent of total solar energy, increases privacy through shading and reduces glare. The company says the non-metallized film also blocks 99 percent of UV light with a total sun protection factor of up to 1000 and comes in a variety of tint levels from 5 percent to clear.

On the Matte
Commonwealth Laminating & Coating, Inc./SunTek® Window Films now offers a matte option for its PPF line that it says transforms the appearance of traditional automotive paint to a matte finish and provides first-rate protection from damage caused by gravel, rocks, salt, insects and other road pollutants. PPF-M offers an advanced, self healing, solvent-resistant top coat formulation and is backed by a 5 year warranty.
